Text placement

TikTok Safe-Zone Overlay

Preview a screenshot or frame under conservative TikTok interface obstruction zones before placing important text.

JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MB. The image stays in this browser tab and is shown through a temporary local URL.

Drag the text box on the preview. Keyboard users can focus it and use the arrow keys; hold Shift for a bigger move.

Clear of this conservative overlay

The planned box does not touch any buffer in this preset.

TikTok In-Feed conservative LTR · version 2026.07

Reference checked July 12, 2026.

This is a planning aid, not TikTok certification. Caption length, add-ons, language direction, device, and placement can change the real interface.

Read TikTok's current In-Feed specification
Add a vertical frame to preview it here. You can still move the sample text and inspect the buffers now.
Put your key message here

The preview fills a 9:16 canvas. Non-vertical images may be cropped.

How to use it

Check placement early, then preview the real ad setup.

Add a 9:16 screenshot or exported frame, then drag the sample text where you plan to place your key message. A clear result means only that the box avoids this preset's conservative buffers.

TikTok's current In-Feed documentation says key text and logos can be covered or cropped outside the safe zone. It also says the safe area varies with orientation, caption length, and interactive add-ons.

Treat this as an early composition check. Before publishing, preview the finished creative in the exact TikTok placement, caption, language direction, and add-on setup you will use.

Questions

What to know before you use it.

Is this TikTok's official safe-zone template?

No. It is a clearly versioned, conservative planning overlay based on the interface areas TikTok tells advertisers to protect. TikTok says the exact safe area changes with dimensions, caption length, and interactive add-ons, so use TikTok's own preview before launch.

Does the image leave my browser?

No. The page creates a temporary browser object URL for the local preview. It does not upload, store, analyze, or send the image to ClipStitchr.

Can I download an edited frame?

No. The draggable box is only a placement test. The tool does not burn in text, edit your frame, create a certified template, or export a new image.
